Abyssal Zone

The Abyssal Zone is the vast, perpetual darkness of the deep ocean, typically found at depths of 3,000 to 6,000 meters. Here, extreme pressure and frigid temperatures shape a unique realm of life adapted to total absence of sunlight, far below the Sunlight Zone. It represents the majority of the Ocean Floor, a silent, alien world.
