+A [Brass Instrument](/wiki/brass_instrument) is a type of [Wind Instrument](/wiki/wind_instrument) that produces sound by sympathetic vibration of air in a tubular resonator, achieved by the player "buzzing" their lips into a [Mouthpiece](/wiki/mouthpiece). Pitch is primarily controlled by varying lip tension and the use of valves or a slide to change the length of the air column.
