Compatibility Support Module

+The **Compatibility Support Module** (CSM) is a [UEFI](/wiki/uefi) firmware component that allows older operating systems to boot on modern hardware. It provides a legacy BIOS environment, enabling systems not designed for [Secure Boot](/wiki/secure_boot) to function.
