Emir

An Emir (from Arabic: أمير, amīr, "commander" or "prince") is a high-ranking title of nobility or office used in the Islamic world. It signifies a ruler, governor, or military commander, often wielding significant political and military authority within an emirate. Historically, an emir could be a powerful regional leader, sometimes with de facto independence, or a subordinate of a larger empire.
