Staind is an American Rock band formed in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1995. The band's original lineup included vocalist Aaron Lewis, guitarist Mike Mushok, bassist Johnny April, and drummer Jon Wysocki. Known for its distinctive blend of Nu Metal and Post Grunge sounds, their music, marked by raw emotional lyrics and heavy melodies, achieved widespread commercial success and critical attention. Their 2001 album, Break the Cycle, featured the hit single "It's Been Awhile" and topped the Billboard 200 chart. The band has released seven studio albums, with their most recent being Staind in 2011, followed by a hiatus and subsequent reunions for touring and new music.
