+**Voids** are immense, largely empty spaces in the universe, containing few or no [Galaxies](/wiki/galaxies) and minimal [Matter](/wiki/matter). These colossal regions are a key component of the cosmic web, surrounded by the filaments of galaxy superclusters which define the large-scale structure of the cosmos.
