+A **White Dwarf** is the stellar remnant left after a [star](/wiki/star) exhausts its nuclear fuel and sheds its outer layers. Extremely dense and hot, it slowly cools over billions of years, eventually becoming a cold, dark [black dwarf](/wiki/black_dwarf).
