Roman Calendar

The Roman Calendar was the evolving system of timekeeping used by Rome, initially complex and less accurate. Major reforms, like those under Julius Caesar, led to the more precise Julian Calendar, which became widely adopted. Its structure laid the foundation for many subsequent Western calendars.
